Brad Danks is an entertainment lawyer and industry consultant specializing in developing financing strategies for production, financing and distribution of film and television properties. He received his law degree from the University of Victoria in 1991 and became a member of the Law Society of BC in 1992. Prior to joining the Convergent team, Mr. Danks was an entertainment lawyer for more than 10 years practicing at some of Canada’s most prestigious law firms. He worked on literally hundreds of film and television productions ranging from the development and acquisition of the underlying properties through financing and distribution. He has acted for most of the major US studios, broadcasters and major banks. For the past several years, Mr. Danks has consulted and provided strategic advice to numerous private and public companies around the world on entertainment and media business matters.  His particular emphasis has been in developing strategies to take advantage of the technological changes and their impact on traditional business models. He has financed technology companies from institutional, venture funds, and individual investors, using private equity and public markets in Canada, the U.S. and Asia.
