Jill Bodkin

Jill Bodkin’s life’s work has been finance – building partnerships among investors and company builders, to increase shareholder value. After mid-career graduate studies in public finance at the Maxwell School at the University of Syracuse, her earlier public sector experience in Ottawa included financing large capital projects, and serving as British Columbia Deputy Minister responsible for financial institutions, and founding Chair of the Securities Commission.

As a corporate finance partner in Ernst & Young, Ms. Bodkin advised institutional investors and venture capital funds on financing technology companies, over the first decade of growth of Vancouver’s technology sector. She left the partnership to participate as a private investor, with the goal of appreciating shareholder value over a decade or more. Working with partner fund and individual investors, she has built a portfolio of interests in technology companies, using private equity and public markets in the west and Asia. Ms. Bodkin also takes a long-term role in oversight of financial and governance matters for companies in her portfolio, often serving on Boards or Advisory Committees.
