Samantha Sowassey has worked in the entertainment industry for more than 10 years. She began her career with a broadcast communications degree and started in the business as a broadcasting personality. She later developed technical production skills and expanded into programming, promotions and marketing for several stations. In 2002, Miss Sowassey returned to school, obtaining a degree in Entertainment Business. She went on to work with a number of media companies in Vancouver, with an emphasis on integrated marketing programs and brand integration strategies. She developed campaigns for US broadcasters including the creation of new media content such as podcasts for consumer brands. Currently, Samantha Sowassey works at Convergent Entertainment in the production and broadcasting department in programming and marketing. She also enjoys teaching the “Business of Broadcasting and Media” course at the Vancouver Film School.
